Independence
Grintyd editorial decisions are made independently of installer and advertiser relationships. Installers cannot purchase placement, ranking, ordering, or favorable editorial treatment. No installer reviews or approves articles prior to publication.
Sourcing standards
Utility rate, incentive, and generation data is sourced from primary government and regulatory publications including the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency (DSIRE), and individual state Public Utility Commissions. Each metro page cites the underlying source and the date the figure was retrieved.
Fact-checking
Tariff and incentive figures are reviewed quarterly against primary sources. Material edits are stamped with a "Last reviewed" date on the affected page. Articles describing installer offerings are validated against installer-supplied documentation and the relevant state licensing board record.
Corrections
Material errors are corrected within five business days of verification and disclosed inline on the affected page. Report a suspected error to corrections@grintyd.com.
No pay-for-placement
Installer compensation does not influence which installer is matched to a consumer. Matching is determined by licensure, utility-zone coverage, customer-rating thresholds, and capacity. No compensation, cash rewards, or vouchers are distributed to consumers for using this platform.
